I had to send a Google Reinclusion Request for Domain !

I didn’t think I would ever send a Request for a website domain reinclusion to Google.

But today I really did!

Why?
Because I started a website on a domain name which I thought would have been long gone…
And looking back in history, I should have know that I had seen web pages on that domain.

I build my Joomla based website did my SEO thing, put on lots of Quality content and Send Google my Sitemap.
So the waiting started and on my previous domains the results came pretty quick and on the keywords I targeted.
Now I don’t have that many domains, because my knowledge on all kind of different topics is limited.
I like writing website to clear my head of to much in depth knowledge on topics like Networking and Joomla and SEO.

This domain just did not get ranked!

No really, I did everything right and after a month it still didn’t show in Google?

From the Google webmaster central Webmaster Tools and Sitemaps I could see it was crawled, that my sitemap was correct, but that there where no pages in Google…..

That is what I did , after one of those rare brainwaves I went over to Alexa Ranking page because I new there was a link I needed now.

I took a Journey back in time with the WayBackMachine to dig into the Internet Archives.

A real Google adsense spam site, which has been out of the index after the Google’s Big Daddy Update.
The site name was cut free from April this Year.

So after making money from Adsense for several years for the previous owner spamming I had to do some extra work.

Lessons learned

1. Building a great website does not get you direct good ranking on an old domain name.
2. Monitor the progress of your Google inclusion with the free webmaster resources.
3. Look at the results of the Webmaster and Sitemap tools on a regular base.
4. Check the history of your domain.
5. If you find a bad history, send the reinclusion request.

To send a re-inclusion request like that, you have really got to have:
- A Google mail account
- Your site in the Google webmaster central webmaster tools
- Validated your site to proof that it is really your website!

Wait for Google to respond to your request……that is what I am going to do now…
